What is this?

I can’t remember what it was exactly, what brought me to that weird website. Probably a link on a Belgian or Dutch info site. But I found the story rather inspiring, as an old globetrotter, or that is how I see myself. Only after following the weird caprioles of this lady I realised another message within… Braintec… MMMM. As an NLP coach/master I am interested in everything concerning thoughts and memories.  

I found the website www.braintec.info after searching for a while. And what came as a surprise... no... this can’t be true. I immediately had to think about the Heechee trilogy from… blimey what the name of that writer again. Anyway that doesn’t matter, but the canning and replaying of memories... memories captured on a digital device. If only,  if only.

My first response is one of disbelief but a short search for Prof. J.J. Hamilton teaches me that he has an excellent reputation indeed. So this isn’t a joke after all. And what if this is true. Exists. Performable. Do I dare to cooperate? And how can I find some room in my agenda.

But that are problems for later. So I fill in the forms (very professional) and I send it. The moment I push the Apply button I suddenly feel uncertain. Is this safe, is this properly checked. OK it is in the USA and there is a very hard supervision on most of the medical care... I decide that I can always crawl back. I go for it.

Most probably I’ll never hear of them again, I set my mind at rest.
